This article provides an analysis of innovative teaching of the Russian language in a military audience. The article reveals some methods and techniques of teaching Russian to military personnel through an interactive lesson, namely: group projects, stimulating games, informant lessons, interactive team games, case method, "POPS formula", project method, brainstorming, correspondence travel, competitions, performances, creation of speech situations. It is noted that the use of interactive textbooks and multimedia materials, listening, reading aloud are indispensable in interactive learning. The work provides examples of the use of various interactive techniques for familiarization with current lexical and grammatical topics, and provides methodological recommendations for teaching military terminology using military videos. The work is not without relevance among studies aimed at improving the methodology of interactive learning.
