Title:ABOUT THE KIPCHAK-MONGOL ETHNIC CONNECTION (in Turkish)
Volume:2
Issue:1
Abstract:
At different stages of history, peoples interacted with other neighboring peoples. The ethnic connection between peoples was explained with this interaction. The Kipchaks, who are the center of the problem of our research, had enough of such ethnic ties. Migration is not only a change in place of residence, but also the adaptation of peoples to a new environment, and it is a social process. The Kipchaks, who occupy a dominant position in Desht-i-Kipchak, faced a historical threat in the 13th century. The Mongol invasion led historians to suggest that the Kipchaks might have had ethnic ties with this nation. The main goal of our study is to compare existing ideas about ethnic ties. Historical generalization research argues otherwise.
