Abstract:
In the presented article, the city is explored as a living organism; the experiences of Azerbaijan and other countries are researched through historical-comparative and dual-comparison methods in the context of urban planning. The article emphasizes the necessity of studying urban planning and architectural issues through the lens of sociology and analyzes existing research in the field of urban sociology. Furthermore, it is highlighted that inclusivity, historicity, and modernity must be strictly considered during urban planning to ensure a healthy socio-ecological environment for the city. Consequently, it is concluded that it is essential to approach urban planning and architectural matters in the light of urban sociology.
