Volume:7
Issue:1
Abstract:

The development of the Ice Silk Road offers a new route for global maritime transportation while simultaneously placing potential pressure on the Arctic ecological system. This paper, based on the concept of green shipping, examines its application in the construction of the Ice Silk Road, including the use of low-carbon energy vessels, the optimization of maritime technologies, and environmentally oriented route management. The findings indicate that promoting green shipping not only enhances the sustainability and safety of Arctic transportation but also provides valuable experience for the low-carbon transition of the global maritime sector. This holds significant practical importance for the future development of Arctic routes.
