The quality changes in education can only be expected after these critical transitional stages have been completed. Education is a highly complex field where the benefits of investment become evident only after several stages. Therefore, the progress of contemporary education within a non-religious scientific-pedagogical framework requires a certain amount of time.
In the early years of our independence, Azerbaijan's education system faced significant setbacks. It can be argued that, due to the emphasis on self-management in this sector, negative crisis situations prevailed. Specifically, higher education institutions underwent transformation, and the widespread corruption in the republic had a serious impact on the higher education system. The disruption of discipline in higher educational institutions, the destruction of material and technical resources, and the manipulation of students and youth by various irrational groups for political purposes undermined the foundation of staff training in educational and scientific institutions. The insufficient material and technical infrastructure of the existing higher education institutions, along with the failure to implement a long-term education strategy, further intensified the challenges faced by this crucial sector. In addressing the development of education, paying attention to humanistic principles is essential for the formation of youth in society and their development as qualified specialists.
