At the initiative of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States on the theme “Building a Sustainable Future through Transport, Connectivity and Climate Action” was held in Shusha on July 6, 2024. The importance of further strengthening and deepening the strategic partnership and using the full potential of the Turkic states in the economic, transport and other fields to formulate the collective strategy of the Organization of Turkic States was one of the priority topics at the meeting.
Another second priority topic was the Karabakh Declaration. The Karabakh Declaration is a historical and regional-global political issue based on a legal basis. At the same time, the Karabakh Declaration contains credible expectations that will contribute to new stability, security, socio-cultural and economic progress in a broad geopolitical context. This important document can also be considered an action program that can ensure the transition to the next stage in the development of Turkish statehood. The Declaration is the closest road map to be followed to adapt the new form of regional cooperation to the existing realities at the global level.
The unity and solidarity of the Turkic world also finds its clear expression in the large-scale reconstruction and reconstruction work carried out in our liberated territories.
As a result, we have witnessed the realization of the relations of brotherhood, friendship and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan, Turkey and the Organization of Turkic States at the highest level. The fact that the summit is being held at a time when global risks and threats are increasing and the crisis of mutual trust is deepening makes it necessary to raise our relations, which are strengthened by the spirit of eternal brotherhood, to a qualitatively new level and to develop them with joint approaches.
