Volume:2
Issue:2
Abstract:

In the Caucasus, on the northern borders of Azerbaijan, in the area up to the north of the Caspian Sea, ancient ethnoses, tribes, peoples once lived, existed at different times and in different periods, and created states. These states have established mutual relations with neighboring countries and peoples, leaving a historical and cultural heritage. One of these ethnoses and tribes is the ones who created the state and empire at the beginning of the era. Interesting information about the recipients is kept in written sources. At the same time, a large number of research works have been dedicated to the recipients and the recipient state. These studies reflect the origins of the recipients, their distribution area, and their interactions with neighboring peoples and states. Opinions and opinions have been put forward on the issue of the origin and affiliation of the recipients, in other words, on the issues of predecessorship and succession, which have led to extensive discussions, but this problem has not yet been fully resolved. Given the great diversity of views on this issue, we consider it preferable to take a concrete approach to the solution of this problem, to express laconic views. The article looks at written source data, research on this problem, groups similar and different information, generalizes, expresses historical-scientific attitude, draws conclusions and puts forward new ideas. Specifically, we envisage that it will be a step towards eliminating the mistakes, gaps and black-and-white spots made as a result of non-objective approaches to issues related to Turks and Turkism during the Soviet era.
