Currently, there are many conflicts in the world, the reason for the duration of which is the failure to implement the decisions taken in connection with these confrontations by the United Nations, which represents the world community. The same kind of reasons contributed to the long stay under the occupation of the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Despite the fact that at one time the world community made important decisions regarding the hotbeds of conflict, they were not implemented and over time such issues as the occupation and fragmentation of territories were imposed as "fact" and "reality".
This trend is no exception for the Israeli-Palestinian confrontation, which is known in the political arena as the Middle East conflict. At most stages of this conflict, the international community demonstrated its position and documented them in the format of various rulings. In 1947, the UN General Assembly issued Resolution No. 181 on the establishment of a Jewish and Palestinian states on the territory of Palestine. According to the decision, 57% of the territory of Palestine fell to the Jews, and 42% to the Arabs. The remaining 1% of the territory where the city of Jerusalem was located was to become international territory. This was the first international resolution to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that has yet to be implemented.
As you can see, the conflict did not remain abstract for the views of the world community and enough fateful decisions were made. One of the most necessary steps for the correct interpretation of the conflict here is an accurate and consistent study of the UN decisions.
